What we collect — and what we don’t.
This page describes the streaming site at blacklabimaging.net/haverim, operated by Black Lab Imaging, LLC on behalf of Temple Beth Haverim Shir Shalom. It does not cover the temple’s main website at bethhaverim.org, which has its own privacy policy.

What we collect
We keep two kinds of records about visits to this site — both kept to the minimum needed to operate the streams and report viewership to the congregation.
Streaming analytics (first‑party)
When you watch a service, the video player records playback events — play, pause, seek, and progress milestones — together with the approximate location of your network connection (country, region, city), your device type and browser, and the network provider your IP address belongs to. Your IP address itself is not stored. It is replaced by a one‑way hash that rotates every day, which prevents us from re‑identifying you across days and prevents anyone with database access from recovering your IP. These records let us tell the temple how many people watched a given service and where they tuned in from. They are stored on our own server and not shared with anyone outside the temple.
Google Analytics (third‑party)
We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find the site and which pages they visit. Google receives standard web analytics signals: the URL of the page you’re on, the page that referred you, your approximate location, your device type, browser, and screen size, and a randomly generated identifier stored in a cookie. When “Google Signals” is enabled (we will indicate on this page when it is), Google may also associate your visit with your signed‑in Google account to enable cross‑device measurement and aggregated demographic reporting. Google’s own privacy policy governs how Google uses this data; their opt‑out browser add‑on will block Google Analytics on every site you visit, including this one.

What we don’t do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade visitor data to anyone.
- We do not run advertising, retargeting pixels, or social media trackers on this site.
- We do not require an account, sign‑in, or any personal information to watch services.
- We do not record or transmit your camera or microphone — the video stream is one‑way only.
- We do not contact you. There is no email list or marketing tied to this site.
03
Cookies
The site sets a small amount of data in your browser:
- _ga, _ga_… — set by Google Analytics to distinguish unique visitors. Expires after 2 years.
- A small localStorage entry named v2‑resume:… — remembers where you stopped watching an archived service so you can pick up where you left off. Stored only in your browser; never sent to us.
You can clear these at any time through your browser settings, or use a private/incognito window to avoid them entirely.
04
Your choices
Because we do not store identifying information — no IP addresses, no email, no account — the streaming‑analytics records described above cannot be traced back to you, which means there is nothing for us to look up, edit, or delete on a per‑person basis. If you would still like a clean slate, you can:
- Install Google’s Analytics opt‑out add‑on to block GA collection on every site, including this one.
- Use a privacy‑focused browser or extension (Firefox with strict tracking protection, Brave, uBlock Origin, etc.) — these block GA by default.
- Watch in a private/incognito window so cookies and local storage are discarded when you close it.
